Welcome to my practice
compassionate support & guidance
As a clinical psychologist and integrative psychotherapist, I’m here to provide compassionate support and guidance as you navigate life’s challenges.
With a focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental space, my approach combines therapeutic techniques tailored to your needs. Whether you’re exploring personal growth, managing mood and anxiety, or seeking professional supervision, I’m committed to helping you foster understanding, resilience, and meaningful change.

my Therapeutic approach
1. Philosophy
Therapy, for me, is about understanding each client’s journey and sense of self beyond just symptoms. I prioritize a judgment-free space, focusing on the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for growth. My integrative approach includes systemic-narrative therapy to help clients reshape their life stories, as well as psychodynamic and psychoanalytic techniques, such as projective tests and attachment-based therapy, to explore deeper patterns.
2. Modalities
I use a diverse toolkit to support clients, including systemic-narrative approaches that empower self-exploration and psychodynamic methods to uncover underlying emotional patterns. Additionally, I incorporate CBT, DBT, trauma work and mentalization-based treatment to offer structure in managing thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Creative techniques like painting, sand tray therapy, games, and drawing provide alternative ways for clients to express and process their experiences.
3. Accessibility
My online practice also makes therapy more flexible and accessible, ideal for those who prefer virtual sessions or face barriers to in-person therapy. Accessibility is central to my practice, and I aim to meet clients where they are. As a bilingual therapist, I offer sessions in both Spanish and English to support a diverse client base.
4. Environment
As an HCPC-registered clinical psychologist and BACP-accredited psychotherapist from Chile, I bring a high standard of clinical expertise to my work. I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel free to express themselves. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship, I aim to help clients foster self-understanding and positive change.
About Magdalena
magdalena García
my journey & practice
Ever since studying psychology at school while learning about Freud and cognitive approaches, I decided I wanted to become a clinical psychologist and therapist. I was deeply interested in people’s motivations and in-depth understanding of their behaviours and inner workings, and I loved learning more about it.
-
I then graduated as a clinical psychologist in Chile in 2015, where I worked on supporting children, young adults, and their families to deal with the complexities of everyday life. I continued furthering my studies, earned a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Diploma in 2016, and trained with the Theraplay Institute in 2018 and 2019. I then came to the UK in 2021 to get an MSc in Affective Disorders at King’s College London, specialising in depression, bipolar and anxiety disorders. I also completed training to become a Mentalisation-Based Treatment practitioner at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families in 2022.
-
As a psychotherapist, I have experience working with a wide range of psychiatric disorders and concerns, such as eating disorders, affective disorders, depression, self-harming, bereavement and grief, self-esteem, anxiety, interpersonal relationships and attachment, and trauma. I always aim to continue my professional development, have continuous clinical supervision and engage in new training.
I’ve also ventured into teaching by giving lectures at Chilean universities about mental health, self-care in health services and psychopathology.

Outside of work, you can usually find me cuddling with a book, going on walks and daydreaming about becoming an author.
